Big Data Collaboration Center, Cisco, 2012

Initial rendering of Big Data Collaboration Center

The Big Data Collaboration Room where content and applications can be shared - . It’s designed to facilitate data explorations, design thinking and decision-making from any device or time zone. If you recall the command centers, or “war rooms,” of the past, with pinned-up maps, paper scraps, and Post-it notes, you’re halfway there. Patent issued March 2013 US 13/788,103.

Our customers told us they need to execute faster than ever and bring together diverse teams to design new products or brainstorm solutions to challenges. The best way to accomplish these objectives is setting up “war rooms” and facilitating multi-day sessions in them.

We transformed the war room, creating a “virtualized physical space” that individuals enter physically or virtually. Whether you are standing in an actual room or you enter through a device, the virtualized room appears more or less the same for everyone.

Once in the room all participants can engage with applications, post and save things on the wall and chat over high-definition video. Participants simultaneouly create, edit or annote using most of the standard business applications.

The results? A space that enables strategic decision-making, enhanced interactivity, and creativity while reducing cycle time.
